Marine Insurers

Marine insurance companies, P&I clubs, and risk intelligence experts require reliable data to assess risks and make informed decisions.

In an increasingly complex maritime industry, accurate intelligence is essential for ensuring security and operational confidence.

The vessel appears to be in transit, navigating through international waters under a hazy sky. The image highlights the scale of global trade and the environmental impact of maritime shipping.

Enhancing Risk assessment, loss prevention & compliance

The marine insurance sector plays a key role in a world with growing uncertainty, offering financial protection against a wide range of risks, including vessel damage, cargo loss, and liabilities from accidents or environmental incidents.

However, modern maritime operations are increasingly complex, with growing regulatory demands and rising threats like piracy, smuggling, and illegal fishing.

These challenges are compounded by the vast and remote areas where maritime activities take place, making effective risk assessment and monitoring more difficult than ever.

Unseenlabs' RF Analysis for Precise Risk Management and Vessel Monitoring

Unseenlabs’ technology provides marine insurers with advanced tools to enhance risk management and vessel monitoring. Covering vast areas of up to 300,000 km², our system ensures extensive surveillance, even in remote regions where illegal activities are prevalent.

With unique RF signatures, insurers can detect and track high-risk vessels, even when AIS transponders are turned off or spoofed.

Additionally, our kilometer-level accuracy ensures precise geolocation, enabling insurers to assess vessel positions, verify claims, and manage underwritten assets with confidence.

These capabilities empower marine underwriters to enhance risk assessment, reduce losses, and ensure compliance with greater efficiency.

RF Data collection campaign in the Southern Red Sea

Between November 20 and December 29, 2023, Unseenlabs conducted a focused ten-day RF data collection in the Southern Red Sea, revealing a significant increase in dark vessel activity amidst regional turmoil. Our advanced space-based RF detection technology successfully tracked vessels that had deactivated their AIS transponders to avoid detection. This capability is crucial for marine insurers, offering unprecedented visibility into covert maritime operations in high-risk areas. By providing exclusive insights into these hidden activities, Unseenlabs helps insurers assess and mitigate risks more effectively, ensuring better protection for their clients’ assets in volatile regions.
